May Flies (in late June)

May Flies (in late June)

This Monday we spent the day on Bell Isle, an island in the middle of the Red River between Canada and the US. It was a day of celebration for Detroit –apparently, here, they celebrate 4 of July like celebrations early. The day was full of music and barbeques down by the Riverwalk, and there were fireworks in the evening. We found a quiet part of the Island, near the lightbouse, and spread out to swim and relax. Once in Detroit, we set up base camp on Kirby street. We unloaded the bus and found all sorts of discarded books, subersive pamphlets, and almost turning vegetables and loaded them into our two story historic house near Wayne State University. All the houses on the street look like ancient […]

It was beautiful. 2 pm – First showing of the B Media film […]

Day 3: Yellowstone –Fargo, North Dakota

Day 3: Yellowstone –Fargo, North Dakota

Miles traveled: too many Number of pages in the bus’s new Backstreet Gazette: 5 Number of donated bagels still uneaten: 150 7 am—Waking up in the natural light with the birds makes getting up earlier easier…sometimes. What really does it is BOGA (it’s yoga, but not) brought to you by Amanda, every morning at a bus stop near you. Amidst hooting and hollaring and jumping, the caravan pieced together it’s tent piece and folded itself on the bus for an […]
