People in Portland, Oregon, have been protecting families from eviction with active community defense since December 2011. This short documentary, made in partnership with We Are Oregon, introduces you to the folks who are committed to housing justice, even if they’re not experiencing eviction themselves. Meet Emily, a 9-month-pregnant woman who is also full-time student, Nabeeh, an former resident of North Portland who is under water himself, and Eduardo, an organizer in the movement for housing justice. Together, they are a few of the 100 people involved in the day to day work of housing justice, with a focus on one critical piece: house sitting.
